AEC Solutions Division

David is a Registered Architect and a LEED accredited professional who previously had his own practice and was President of a commercial design-build construction company for 15 years. A graduate of University of Arizona, he has worked as an Architect, contractor, developer, educator, and as a national construction manager for a national retailer. David currently develops and implements targeted AEC business solutions – including Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, AutoCAD Architecture, and NavisWorks – for clients across the United States involved in the design and building process. 

Glynnis is a Registered Architect and has been a consultant to the AEC industry since 1998. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, she has worked as an architect, educator, and construction site manager. In 2002, she was invited to speak at the 2002 Autodesk Worldwide One Team Conference about the future of CAD in the AEC market. Glynnis is currently the Director of Development Services at Ideate, Inc. and continues to work with AEC clients across the nation, developing, and implementing best practices solutions. 

Bill has 18 years of experience in applying AEC design solutions for large commercial companies. A graduate of Pasadena Institute of Technology, he has worked for GTE/GTEL, Hunter Technical Services, Greg LeDoux and Associates, and a regional utility company in England. Bill has also had the opportunity to act as lead AutoCAD designer for multimillion dollar communication sites which have included structural, electrical, HVAC, conduit, cable plans, and equipment layouts. He is an AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD MEP specialist and is currently pursuing Sustainable Design Certification at the University of California at Berkeley.

Teresa Martin – AEC Solutions Application Specialist

Teresa is a graduate of Cornell University and has over 20 years experience in the architectural and construction industry. She has spent her career pursuing her interest in 3D modeling and computer-aided-design having worked alternately as a designer, project manager, CAD manager, 3D modeler, and educator. Teresa currently develops curriculum and customized content as an Autodesk Architectural Desktop Certified Expert and Revit Implementation Expert. As a leading Revit trainer for over 5 years, Teresa brings her real-world experience to the classroom.

Ron has over 20 years of experience in the architectural industry as a drafter, designer, lead project designer, and most recently a CAD manager implementing Autodesk Architectural Desktop for a residential design firm. His instructional background includes being an Autodesk Certified Instructor, trainer, support technician, educator at two community colleges, and a U.S. Army certified instructor. Ron is a published writer and continues to author professional technical training manuals for AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture. Ron provides Revit Architecture training and support for AEC firms.

Glen is a licensed Professional Engineer and worked in the consulting engineering industry for over 13 years. After obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Morrisville State College in New York, Glen worked in the HVAC field for a number of A&E and engineering firms providing engineering design and drafting on a wide variety of projects including state detention facilities, industrial and pharmaceutical facilities, office buildings, schools, and airports. Glen is a LEED accredited professional and a member of the Golden Gate Chapter of ASHRAE. Glen works on the AEC team providing support for AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.

Shruti holds a Master of Science degree in Architectural Computing from University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom and is a LEED accredited professional. Her experience includes working in architecture and construction firms in India and the United Kingdom as well as structural engineering firms in the Bay Area providing design, 3D modeling, and drafting services. Shruti is an Autodesk Architectural Desktop Certified Expert and provides training and support for Revit Architecture and AutoCAD Architecture.

Nancy holds an accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Construction Management from University of Houston, Texas and has over 12 years of experience in the architecture industry. She has worked as a Project Manager and Project Architect for traditional architecture and design-build firms in the Pacific Northwest and the Bay Area handling various phases of design, contract document production, and construction administration. Nancy has been instrumental in establishing and implementing CAD standards and operating procedures with firms of various sizes, aiding their transition to new technologies.

Srinivas holds a Masters of Science degree in Structural Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and has diverse experience in the AEC industry. He has worked as a structural design engineer in the Bay Area on a variety of commercial and residential projects managing different phases of design and construction. His work as an application engineer includes providing BIM consulting, CAD implementation, and training services to AEC firms of varying sizes. Srinivas also has extensive experience with several Structural Analysis programs including SAP2000, ETabs, SAFE, ADAPT Builder, and CAD Applications such as AutoCAD, Microstation, and Revit Structure.

Gaurav works as a civil application specialist for Ideate. In addition to having a degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Construction Management, Gaurav has over 13 years of experience in the construction industry including 7 years with Ideate as an Autodesk Certified Instructor and Autodesk Civil 3D Implementation Certified Expert. During his tenure at Ideate, Gaurav has presented and taught at several conferences and CAD Camps. He has also taught and supported hundreds of students in Civil 3D and Land Desktop, has developed Ideate's custom Civil 3D curriculum, and has helped over a dozen small, medium, and ENR 500 engineering, surveying, and planning firms successfully complete Civil 3D pilot projects.

Jason holds a degree in Physical Geography with an emphasis on GIS and Remote Sensing techniques from U.C. Santa Barbara. With over 8 years of experience, he has worked as a GIS Specialist conducting Business GIS analysis and has designed, developed, and deployed GIS/web based mapping applications. For the past several years, he has been a consultant working with state and local government agencies in an effort to increase their productivity through better management and integration of their CAD and GIS infrastructure data. As an Autodesk Certified Instructor and ESRI ArcGIS Authorized Instructor, Jason provides Ideate’s geospatial clients with training, consulting, and support for Autodesk, MUNSYS, and ESRI products.

Daniel is a licensed Civil Engineer in the State of California as well as a Land Surveyor-in-Training. A graduate of San Jose State University, Daniel worked for a municipal public works department for over 6 years before gaining his 9 years of private sector design experience. His land development project experience includes work in the areas of commercial, residential, office, hi-tech, and institutional/university. As a civil applications specialist at Ideate, Daniel is responsible for helping firms develop their Civil 3D implementation strategy and providing them with training, consulting, mentoring, and support.

Mark has nearly 20 years experience in the AEC industry from design-build to construction. His drafting experience is drawn from a wide variety of disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, telecom, architectural, and fire protection. Mark has worked with customization and programming – most notably for Autodesk as software developer and tester for the
Express Tools team – and has a background in CAD management. He is a certified Autodesk training instructor. In addition to training, Mark works on network installations and provides technical support for a variety of programs such as Land Desktop, AutoCAD Architecture, and AutoCAD MEP.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from University of Hawaii. She began her career in the construction industry, followed by 5 years of private sector design experience in which she led a successful implementation of Autodesk Civil 3D. Her land development experience includes large-scale multi-use developments throughout the Hawaiian Islands as well as design projects for local, state, and federal agencies including the Department of Defense. In her role as civil application specialist, Rebecca’s duties include providing training, consulting, mentoring, and support for firms in addition to developing Civil 3D implementation strategy.

Matt is a licensed Civil Engineer in the state of Hawaii. Matt obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and has 7 years of private sector design experience which he applies in his role as an application specialist with Ideate, Inc. His project experience includes residential and commercial site development, private and public sewer, water, and drainage systems, harbors improvements, and roadway improvements. While in Hawaii, Matt was involved in multidisciplinary projects for City and County agencies, State Departments, the Army COE, and private developers.

Sandeep is a registered Project Management Professional (PMP), who has been using Autodesk technology as an engineer for over 10 years. Earning a Civil and Environmental Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he has a comprehensive background having worked on residential and commercial site design, earthworks/grading, subdivision layout, street improvements, storm drain, sanitary sewer, and water design. Sandeep also has extensive experience as a GIS specialist, educator, and project manager. He is the Director of Infrastructure Solutions at Ideate, Inc.

Sachlene has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Texas, specializing in Computer Aided Design and Finite Element Analysis. She has previously worked as a Design Engineer for the Tata Group of companies in India and has coordinated various projects for them. Sachlene has extensive hands-on experience with a variety of 2D and 3D modeling and analyzing packages. While working as a Designer, she has helped develop a sophisticated 2D to 3D conversion tool which is being used extensively by select customers. She currently manages the Technical Support we provide.

Harold has an extensive background in CAD and 3D design, which has been leveraged at a variety of companies including M+W Zander, GAP Inc., Charles Schwab, and BART. He has been involved in a broad range of CAD-related disciplines, including: process piping, mechanical, structural, architectural, and facilities management. Harold is currently a Platform Solutions Application Specialist, specializing in installation services and training.
