Collaborative Project Delivery in Revit
This month the Ideate Revit User Group presents a panel discussion on collaboration in Revit. When architects and engineers interact with each others’ models, several issues emerge:

• How and when to link project files?
• Who “owns” what?
• When does the Level of Detail (LOD) come into play?
• Does this effect Project Management, and if so, how?

We will have three panelists present their viewpoints from the Architectural, MEP and Structural disciplines, followed by full group discussion of this critical topic. The ability to coordinate multiple disciplines throughout the process is one of the primary reasons to utilize Revit in your workflow, please join us and add your thoughts to the conversation.

Project Managers, BIM Managers, Architects, Engineers and Contractors using Revit are encouraged to attend.

About the Presenters
Guy Messick, AIA is an architect and Director of Design Technology at TLCD Architecture, he has over 20 years experience in utilizing virtual 3D tools in design.

Glen Walson, PE, LEED AP serves as Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager for Interface Engineering. He comes to Interface with over 13 years of experience as a mechanical engineer and several years of experience working for Autodesk reseller, Ideate Inc. as an Application Specialist.

Jon P. Kiland, SE, SECB, founding Partner of KPW Structural Engineers, Inc. in Oakland specializing in Healthcare, Education, Municipal/Government, Health Sciences and Corporate sectors. Graduate of UC Berkeley in Structural Engineering. KPW Uses Revit in all of our major projects to see 3D aspects of our buildings and to perform coordination between all disciplines.
