Shared Coordinates
Shared coordinates have been an elusive, sometimes confusing idea of the use of coordinates within an Autodesk Revit project. Using materials presented at AU 2009, Teresa Martin, AEC Application Specialist at Ideate, Inc., will walk you through the steps of utilizing shared coordinates within a Revit building project. Orienting a building project to true north and reviewing the new Project Base point and Survey point subcategories will be covered, as well as techniques for linking files into Revit and defining their locations utilizing Shared Coordinates.

About the Presenter
Teresa is a graduate of Cornell University and has over 20 years experience in the architectural and construction industry. She has spent her career pursuing her interest in 3D modeling and computer-aided-design having worked alternately as a designer, project manager, CAD manager, 3D modeler and educator. Teresa currently develops curriculum and customized content as an Autodesk Architectural Desktop Certified Expert and Revit Implementation Expert. As a leading Revit trainer for over 5 years, Teresa brings her real-world experience to the classroom.
