Ideate, Inc. is pleased to partner with the AIA San Francisco Mentorship Committee to present “Bridging the Gap While Using BIM.”

Beyond the introduction and benefits of BIM, we will discuss how BIM users have filled in gaps that some of us may have discovered when transitioning to BIM. Panelists include Guy Messick, Director of Design Technology, TLCD Architecture and David Haynes, Director of AEC Services, Ideate. Moderated by the AIASF Mentorship committee.

About the Panelists

Guy Messick, AIA – Architect – Director of Design Technology
Trained in fine arts, design and woodworking, Guy finds architecture as the profession best able to unite these disciplines. With his strengths in both design and technology, Guy has blazed a trail at TLCD to propel the firm into a leadership position in utilization of BIM. This methodology allows Guy to be more responsive to client requirements, from programming and design as well as extraordinary efficiency in construction. Guy balances work as a project architect with education of the firm and AEC community at large in BIM technology, as a way to elevate its use in the industry. Guy is a licensed architect in California.

David Haynes, AIA, LEED AP – Director of AEC Services
David is a Registered Architect and a LEED accredited professional who previously had his own practice and was President of a commercial design-build construction company for 15 years. A graduate of University of Arizona, he has worked as an Architect, contractor, developer, educator and as a national construction manager for a national retailer. David currently develops and implements targeted AEC business solutions – including Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, AutoCAD Architecture, and Navisworks – for clients across the United States involved in the design and building process.
