Collaborative Project Delivery in Revit
This month the Ideate Revit User Group presents a panel discussion on collaboration in Revit. When architects, engineers and contractors interact with each others’ models, several issues emerge:

• How and when to link project files?
• Who “owns” what?
• When does the Level of Detail (LOD) come into play?
• Does this effect Project Management, and if so, how?

We will have three panelists present their viewpoints from the Architectural, MEP and Construction disciplines, followed by full group discussion of this critical topic. The ability to coordinate multiple disciplines throughout the process is one of the primary reasons to utilize Revit in your workflow, please join us and add your thoughts to the conversation.

Project Managers, BIM Managers, Architects, Engineers and Contractors using Revit are encouraged to attend.

About the Presenters
Guy Messick, AIA is an architect and Director of Design Technology at TLCD Architecture, he has over 20 years experience in utilizing virtual 3D tools in design.

Glen Walson, PE, LEED AP serves as Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager for Interface Engineering. He comes to Interface with over 13 years of experience as a mechanical engineer and several years of experience working for Autodesk reseller, Ideate Inc. as an Application Specialist.

Sam Mesikepp is a cost estimator at Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction in San Francisco. He is actively involved in the preconstruction phase of most of the company’s significant Northern California projects, and specializes in creating and interpreting Revit models for scope quantification and visualization. Sam is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Revit Architecture Certified Professional.
